RHI Compliance: Welcome

About

Compliance with the rules and regulations of the Non-Domestic RHI scheme is vital to protect your accreditation

Many commercial biomass and Ground Source Heat Pump installations were made financially viable thanks to the government's Renewable Heat Incentive scheme, applications to which were open between November 2011 and March 2021.  Following closure of the scheme, many installations are changed, move, sold or amended, and compliance is required to be maintained for the entire 20 year accreditation.

The application and ongoing obligations of this scheme changed drastically over time, and all owners claiming support under the scheme must adhere to regulations as they currently stand, regardless of commissioning date or requirements at the time.

This does mean that many owners of older systems, and even those operating brand new installations, do not have the necessary technical documentation and records to demonstrate compliance if a regulatory audit were undertaken.  Non-compliances lead to delayed payments, and potentially, a loss of accreditation.

CDM Safety can help operators of renewable heating plants to take these matters in hand- undertaking a full review of the system as installed, helping to obtain missing documentation and produce appropriate records.  Potential non-compliances can often be rectified with the correlation of correct records, small maintenance or adjustment to the system, or a minor amendment to the approved documentation.  This vastly reduces the risk of major non-compliances and held payments, and reduces the stress and financial strain on your business should an audit be instigated in the future.
